·   Next of Kin details including any support networks

Lawful bases for the collection, use of children’s data and data protection rights

For children, we pay special attention to ensure that consent is obtained from a parent or guardian where required.

For children aged 13 to 18, we will ensure that the processing is appropriate to their age, and consent is obtained either directly from the child or from a parent, depending on the nature of the service and the child’s understanding.

We keep your and your child’s data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Our standard retention period is 8 years, after this period, data will be securely deleted from all systems.

We are subject to a common law duty of confidentiality. However, there are circumstances where we will share relevant health and care information. These are where:
